UVC Intensity Sensor with Monitor
Germicidal lamps have an expected life rating typically around 9,000 hours. After the expected life-span of the lamp has been reached, it may continue to burn and appear to be functioning properly. At this point, while the lamp may ignite there is a very substantial intensity reduction from the lamp. Other factors such as dust laden conditions may rob the lamp of its expected output. Both scenarios result in ineffective treatment of airborne and surface dwelling microorganisms. Indicator pilot lights can be used to show that the lamp is actually lit, but do not give any indication of the effectiveness of the lamp output. The only reliable way to monitor the lamp output throughout its life is by means of an intensity sensor. Calibrated and long-term stable UVC sensors are a reliable and cost effective way to monitor UVC radiation levels throughout the system. The sensor is mounted in the air-stream to monitor individual or banks of lamps, and is filtered to measure only the 254 nanometer wavelength. It will supply a current or voltage signal proportional to the amount of UVC sensed to the display meter. |

UV Lamp Tube Guard Kit
UV Lamp "Tube Guard Kits" are available as a simple and reliable way to give an indication that the lamp is lit and operational. Tube Guard Kits are provided with a 4" x 4" enclosure that has a Green indicator light for "Lamp Lit" and Red indicator light for "Lamp Out" conditions. The standard kit shown is for one individual lamp. Multiple banks of lamps can be provided with Tube Guards mounted in larger enclosures with the indicator lamps being identified for each lamp or lamp fixture. For monitoring lamp intensity, we can provide an intensity sensor. |

Reflective
Diamond Plates
The Reflective Diamond Plates are available as a reliable way of intensifying the UV irradiation in the HVAC ducts. As the specially designed diamond plates reflect the UV rays, the power of the UV Light increases 4 to 6 times. The Diamond plates should be fastened to the duct walls alongside the UV bulb so they can reflect as much UV light as possible. Lamp Cleaning Kit
Germicidal lamps, manufactured from high-quality pure quartz, require periodic cleaning to prevent damage from fingerprints or other contaminants that may degrade the glass. Lamps should always be cleaned upon initial installment to make sure the skin oils from handling are removed before the firing of the lamps. The oils or other residues on the lamps create places across the lamp tube where UVC is not transmitted. This can result in shortened lamp life as well as diminished output. We offer "Cleaning Kits" consisting of cotton gloves and clean-wipes with isopropyl alcohol for cleaning of lamp surfaces. Reflective surfaces of Lamp Fixtures should be cleaned periodically as well. |

Quartz Tube Lamp Sleeves
Quartz tube Lamp Sleeves can be provided along with UV resistant removable "Cover Boots" for the ends to provide a moisture barrier for extreme conditions. Lamps are serviced by removing the cover boots, disconnecting the lamp leads, and sliding the lamp out from the tube end. The quartz sleeve remains fastened to the fixture frame. Along with the sealed ballast compartment, this construction offers the best protection of all electrical components from adverse moisture laden environments. |
