UV Light Specifications

All American-Lights^® units are factory assembled and tested. They consist of a power source, UV germicidal bulb and housing, all constructed to withstand HVAC environments.

POWER SOURCE

The power source is designed to deliver maximum radiance and reliability while suppressing noise. The electronic ballast is operational with 110/220/ 277VAC at 50/60Hz and will operate the American-Lights^® HO UV lamps in airstreams of 35-135ºF and airflows to 1,000 fpm. Use of other tube styles will damage power and supply and void warranty.

UV BULB / LAMP

The UV lamp / bulb is similar in design to a normal fluorescent bulb. It is a 4-pin ceramic base bulb with Teflon wiring. It is constructed of type “L”, hard glass quartz which eliminates ozone production. Heat output is low and the light can fit into a wide variety of locations within the HVAC system. HOUSING

The housing is constructed of commercial grade 304 stainless steel for many years of worry-free service. All components are incorporated into one integral assembly that maximizes serviceability. The bulb is held in place and supported in the airstream by using heavy duty spring fasteners that also allow for quick and easy service.

WARNING

Emitter should be mounted a minimum of 30” from heat source if on supply side.

Prolonged exposure to the UV lamp will burn the retina of the eyes and skin.
